How will artificial intelligence transform the telco business, life in buildings, and modern cities? As an expert partner, we contributed to the organisation of another edition of the international conference Metro ON Line. This year’s conference was entirely different – leading AI experts presented real-world experience with implementing AI in the telecommunications sector and smart-city solutions. An interesting aspect was the new format, different from what we were used to. For the first time, artificial intelligence took centre stage, and after many years, the conference was renamed Metro ON/AI Line. Whether this format will return every two years will depend on the near future – especially on how deeply AI transforms our lives.
One of the main goals of the conference has always been to support education, motivate young people, and encourage their active involvement in societal challenges. As well as to foster the ethical development of their talent and creativity. As a result, more than 200 young students have the opportunity to attend the conference for free and meet inspiring young people who have taken their future into their own hands. It also financially supports young talents from disadvantaged families, student projects developed in the (f)ITcubator innovation centre in Poprad, the protection of beech forests, and the development of ecotourism in the TOKAJ wine region.
