The historical figures of Poprad are an essential part of the cultural heritage of our region. As part of the project Preserving and Promoting Words and Music as Values of Local and Regional Culture, we created valuable publications that bring regional cultural heritage closer to anyone who shows even a little interest. These publications will also be made available to children, who should know about the history of their hometown. As part of the project, we prepared the publication of a book by Eva Kulová-Pragerová, tentatively titled Builder Jozef Šašinka – Life and Work. The book explores the life of Jozef Šašinka — a designer, mason, builder, entrepreneur and philanthropist whose short life produced a remarkable body of work, including historically significant buildings found in Poprad, the High Tatras and the surrounding area.
