From 11 to 13 June 2025, the first edition of the Metro ARCH Camp conference took place at AquaCity Poprad, with (f)ITcubator once again participating as one of the expert partners. This year’s theme was inspired by ancient Egypt — a civilization that mastered the connection between architecture, energy systems, and cultural vision, creating functional and timeless structures. The Egyptian motif served as a symbolic backdrop for discussions on modern smart cities, infrastructure digitalization, and AI solutions for public spaces.
Participants explored how to design data-driven cities, energy-autonomous buildings, and next-generation infrastructure that addresses increasing demands for sustainability, cybersecurity, and residents’ quality of life. The program included panel discussions, expert sessions, live demo zones, and case studies of real smart solutions already implemented.
Key topics included the transformation of urbanism through AI, city data platforms, energy digital twins, and the connection between architecture and cultural identity. In special sessions, experts demonstrated how historical inspirations — such as the energy concepts of ancient temples or thermal design in desert structures — can be applied to real smart city infrastructure projects today.
The conference once again opened its doors to secondary and university students from the region, giving them the opportunity to engage directly with innovations, technologies, and professionals from the field.
